The time/date stamps are readable from within the document, though it
might be possible to add the date/time with the name/sender. I'll ask
Dan if there is such a feature that can be enabled. It would certainly
make it easier to read.
On the escribe list we had two problems;
1) no subject - a software error that lost the date/time stamp
2) people who were posting to the list with an incorrect time
and worse, DATE/YEAR stamp
Both of these errors are recorded in the archive at the top of the list,
so the first valid time/date stamp is with record;

On considering whether to delete the material that has no positive
information, whether arguing, accusing or irrelevant material, I decided
it would take too much time that I don't wish to give it, nor should Dan
have to deal with it, so the archive is relatively complete.
That is why I'm always on people to shut up until they have something to
contribute, either as relevant information or discussion, instead of the
childish bickering or attacks.
All this stuff is archived and god only knows who all reads it, so we
should all make a CONCERTED EFFORT to THINK before posting, asking;
1) is this a personal comment to just one person
SEND IT PRIVATELY TO THE PERSON
2) does this email offer useful information or ideas that
would clarify or engender discussion
POST IT TO THE LIST FOR ALL SUBSCRIBERS
3) is this email relevant to the list topics or at least
presented so there is some correlation with what is being
said
POST IT TO THE LIST FOR ALL SUBSCRIBERS
One new feature that all should like and I hope people don't abuse it
with junk is the ability to send attachments (docs, graphics, etc.) to a
single central location where people can download IF THEY CHOOSE TO.
Remember, if the information is online, excerpt a quote or short version
and post the URL so people can choose to read the entire thing.
All pretty basic and considerate of not flooding everyones mailboxes
with junk or information that they'd rather not see here.
I am personally amazed at how fast any posts are archived for public
viewing...we can make this work and do some good for everyone, even if
they aren't subscribing...
