Individual power units per appliance is a great idea in the long run.
But would require replacing or retrofitting all of your appliances. In
the short run, it might be easier to sell consumers on the idea of
buying a box that they could ask the electrician to wire into the main
fuse box in lieu of the connection to the power grid.

They could then continue on with no disruption to their lifestyle. The
only change would be no bill from the power company. New appliances
might include their own ZPE power pack, and eventually eliminate the
need for power wiring in the home. A nice idea!
