Dan York has been very busy getting the archives back into shape and
arranging for the move to the new list.
This will take place around midnight of Friday the 30th of April, the
KeelyNet@DallasTexas.net list will then be NO MORE.
If you are receiving this, your subscription will automatically be
signed up for the new list which is called interact@keelynet.com
Please do not post dual emails to both the old KeelyNet@DallasTexas.net
AND interact@keelynet.com
They can be edited out of the archives but it is unnecessary hassle for
us to have to do it, so please just switch over completely to the
interact@keelynet.com address....thanks!
Dan has arranged for keelynet.com to have 3 search engines, though only
two are working at the moment.
One search engine at; http://www.keelynet.com/search.htm
looks up information on the website and ignores the archives
The second search engine at;
http;//www.keelynet.com/interact.archives.html
searches ONLY the discussion list archives and includes all three
versions, KeelyNet@lists.kz, KeelyNet@DallasTexas.net and this new
incarnation interact@keelynet.com
The third search engine will be specifically for all the emails from the
old KeelyNet BBS which comprises something on the order of 10MB of
discussions. Those are currently being edited since they include the
private discussions not meant for the general public. There are some
great comments and useful information which will be accessible with the
BBS search engine. Thanks to Norman Wootan for saving all that material
and kindly making a copy of it for the website.
As to the layout of the discussion list archive pages, they consist of
the main page; http://www.keelynet.com/discuss.htm which contains the
guidelines and must be read before anyone can sign up (leave is on the
same page).
Discuss.htm opens up the join/leave, archives and search pages so we are
where we were with all the archives restored and searchable.
Dan has been working very hard to get it all back in order so I want to
thank him publicly for his efforts. Now that keelynet.com is on his
server it makes it much easier to access everything and cross link...
So, don't phreak out if you notice anything different about the
discussion list in the next couple of days...at this point, it should be
an easy and automatic transition...seeya!
