Hi B.K.!

Sorry to take so long in responding. As I understand
it, you are requesting some kind of quantitative
measuring sytem to measure plant and fruit vitality.

Well, the best method I have yet to see involves using
a refractometer which measures the sugar content when
visually inspected by taking one tiny drop from the
fruit or plant being inspected. The best man I know
of on this is Willis Winters, who first informed me of
the method and which he uses in his analysis of the
results of fertilizers and pesticides on plants in his
part of the country, Plainview, Texas.

Key to the method is the fact that the higher the
sugar content, the more trace minerals are in the
plant or fruit because they bind with the sugar. So
you extract one drop of juice, put in on the viewing
plate of the refractometer and measure it under light
to see how much sugar it contains. Each plant has a
different value and there is a table with normal
values which I have in another book that I don't have
handy here at work.

It would be a good thing to create a file on this
technique along with the tables so that it could be
called up as a URL and printed out for reference.

Willis will take a juice sample from a field of fruit
or plants, determine the vitality level (from the
sugar/mineral content)...then he will apply a
fertilizer mixture he thinks might work. He waits
about 30 minutes or so after spraying the plant, then
takes another sample, if the vitality level is
significantly higher, then the plant likes it and he
arranges to treat the entire field.

I never realized it before meeting Willis and hearing
his great explanations but the food we eat has all
kinds of energy levels which we absorb by ingestion...

Some food has such a pitiful vitality that its
nutrient value to us is like eating cardboard...we
could eat baskets and wear ourselves out chewing and
swallowing, but the overall energy is definitely below
unity....<g>...

So the higher the vitality and nutrient level of the
fruit or plant, the more energy there is...meaning you
could eat ONE fruit and get the same or MORE energy
from it than a whole basket of lower vitality fruit.

If you want, I could see about getting some details
and charts to mail to you....the refractometers are
available for about $150.00 from a scientific supply
house...

We discussed what would happen if people knew about
this and tested everything they buy, NOT BUYING the
low vitality fruits and plants but only buying the
healthy high vitalitiy, nutrient rich fruits and
plants...it would greatly improve overall health and
energy of everyone who did this.

Definitely have to work that up as a file as it could
do a lot of good....I'll see what I can to get you the
information if you can send me a mailing address for
some photocopies...ok? You can do this privately by
sending to jdecker@keelynet.com seeya!
