....From what I can tell the trick is to extract high quantities of
oxygen from the air scoop, then explode it in the presence of the
electric spark to provide thrust. Notice you aren't allowed to smoke
near any oxygen tent? Why? Because the pure oxygen will explode.

Does that sound like a joke? There is at least one other inventor who
claims to have done this and even Tesla claimed to use liquid air as a
power source....
