To drop water 4000 feet, you would have to start with an awful wide pipe,
I forgotten what the drag factors are but quite enormous over long length's
I should have the formula's somewhere, (I used to sell pumps )! but
probably no longer in my possession.
I'll see if I can get my hands on the friction tables for various pipes.
Steel ones are less efficient that p.v.c and alkathene is somewhere in
between.
