Old electromedical device

Hi all !

Last sunday I was at a big country market, where people empty their attics
and sell all sorts of ancient goods. I was keeping an eye for old
electromedical devices, and I found (and bought) a beautiful one, in its
leather case, apparently in mint condition. It's a French made device called
"Holo-Electron". There's no date of fabrication. I know that Holo-Electron
was made since 1928 (and is still manufactured today !). I would guess this
model dates from the 1950's.

It delivers high-frequency currents throught 9 different glass electrodes,
some apparently empty (probably filled with a colorless gas ?), some filled
with bundles of thin metallic wires, all with funny curved shapes. I gather,
from a flyer about a recent model, that the "empty" ones are for "body care"
or "face care", the thin metallic one is for blood circulation, and the fat
disc-shaped metallic one works against pain. There is also electrodes not
mentioned in the recent flyer (which indicates only five electrodes) - one
ends in a metallic (copper ?) brush, one other has a sphere full of some
kind of whitish sand, one ends in a thin metallic needle...

So far, I'm just gazing at it and didn't yet dare to use it. I wonder if any
one has experience with this kind of device ? Thanks in advance !
