Some time ago, I was in my office and on the telephone
with Dennis Curran, a business partner. I was also surfing
the Net as we were talking. I asked Dennis for an oddball
topic to look up, and he suggested "hollow earth". I thought
it a big joke, but I did a search anyway on Alta Vista for
"hollow earth".

I was amazed at what turned up. For instance, the explanation
that the source of the earth's magnetic field is generated by
internally rotating molten material doesn't make a whole lot
of sense. If not molten rock, then what? I copied David Jagnow
who is a geologist.Maybe he can come up with a better explanation.
