Well, the fork he bent I have in my possession, and it ain't an
illusion...<g>.....and yes, the CONCEPT of memes is known...
It was just such an amazing thing to see him do this and everyone
present got either a fork or a spoon.
I think what prompted the email was the idea of matter being like a
balloon pressurized with aether.
As long as the pressure remains relatively constant, the physical form
and characteristics remain.
In spoon bending, it was like one could somehow mentally lower the
pressure of the aether, then project a pattern or influence on the
object matrix, forcing it to comply to that pattern, then restore the
pressure to lock in the new pattern.
The metaphysical claims that all is illusion might come into play but
until I can experience it and to some degree manipulate it, it is simply
another concept. Some claim to be able to do it, but of course cannot
demonstrate it, usually with the bogus excuse of not having to prove
their ability...I hear it all the time with TMers (claiming levitation
abilities), time travellers (usually selling something or wanting a link
to their pages) or even the f/e cons.
Ah well, reality has to be experienced.
