This is virually the same as an angular dowsing rod. Make one from a
clothes hanger. Instead of the box, you could simply hold the specimen in
your other hand, or put it under your hat. This is a typical example of how
some companies have "elaborated" on the intuitive side of psionics for
profit. I suppose the box is an "amplifier". What you are buying is someone
else's techno-ritual. Why not do your own? In this genre the possibilities
are as endless as what you choose to believe in.

Not to say that subtle energies do not exist. But it helps to distinguish
the hard science from the confidence-boosting toys.
