I see, so when I suggested rotating an interstitial metal plate
with properly spaced holes or slots machined in it, as a gating
option between stationary magnets and coils, one would think that
it could be an interesting conceptual method for gating magnetic
fluxes?

Let's face it, THE GUY IS A LEACH FOR INFO, and probably would be
useless with children around him with his "no patients attitude"!
Also, maybe he has to hear a voice first, before tapping keys!
