I found a neat Perl script which allows for setting up a live chat
room. The only thing with chat rooms are that whatever is said is LOST,
so if there is a gem or nugget, it's gone.
Whereas, the list archive holds everything, junk and treasure.
Possibly the chat could be captured for SCHEDULED SESSIONS, maybe
opening it up for an online discussion forum, like once a week or month,
where anyone who wanted to could join in.
We could also have a GUEST or GUESTS such as George Wiseman, Hal
Puthoff, Peter Kelly, just about anyone who would be 'there' when the
session was scheduled. Chat comments could be saved as a datafile that
would be included in the site Search engine.
What say you folks? Should I pursue this chat room idea?
-------------------
I am currently working on a SEARCH engine for the entire website and
posting all the KeelyNet BBS files as zipped files for download.
The search would make it MUCH EASIER to find things and I will include a
keyword list by category, i.e. energy, gravity, biology, etc. to help
locate specific files.
This has been planned for quite awhile and I need to make it so.
