These creation scientists are good people. In a Creation magazine from a
year or 2 ago, one scientist recreated OPALS in a tube using sand from
Lightning Ridge (australia, where opals are commonly found).
Unfortunately he wouldn't give any more info about the processes involved -
except to say that they were not formed under heat or pressure as
conventional theory has it.
