The point I was making was that 30 years ago you could have bought your own
fuel cells and maybe reverse engineered them for your own benefit. Like
having a battery that could be recharged overnight (cheaper power rates) and
supplemented with wind power etc.

The concept of selling kits/plans may not be as simple as originally
suggested, particularly if the device is complex and/or involves anything
that could go bang.
