A few months ago here 20/20 showed a piece about heart transplants, based on
several studies.
Apparently, (according to at least the central character, herself a heart
transplant patient), donees begin to take on some of the tastes and
behaviour of the donors, although this effect wears off over 10 years or
more. In the woman on the interviewed, she received a young bikies heart,
and afterwards she began to behave a little more aggressively, pick up a
liking for beer and nuts etc, all things that were totally out of character.
Anyway, she got in touch witrh the donors family and they confirmed that
these new tastes she had were very much in line with the tastes of their
deceased son.
I haven't found anything more about this on the Net as yet; however now you
know. Perhaps this info will be useful to someone.
