It should be in a spiral bound note book with pre-numbered
pages where pages can not be inserted or removed with out
being noticed as being out of sequence.

You can by "Lab Notebooks" at some office supply stores that
also contain carbon paper so you end up with two copies of
each page so you can give one to a trusted person, just in
case "They" decide they want to suppress your work...
