Hi Tom!

You refer to the late Bill Clendennon's book, "Mercury Messenger of the
Gods"....as I recall it, his concept was mostly a magneto-hydrodynamic
flying machine.

Talked with Bill a couple of times because he claimed to have an
original un-expurgated/edited version of Bloomfield Moores book on
Keely, the one where the airship is actually described, not removed as
in most copies....but he kept it close to his chest...

Just as well, we got it from another source as well as a pure photocopy
of the Keely book from the Library of Congress courtesy of I can't
remember who at the moment and it describes the 'aerial propeller'...

Isn't it odd that a book would be written called 'Aerial Navigation' and
nothing be in it about any kind of flying machine except for a slight
mention of a metal model that was floated in the air? Now who would
stop the presses and have that section removed, then resume so that very
few copies of the original intact version existed...bizarre to say the
least...someone covering something up??

As to mercury, yes, there are lots of comments in the Indian texts about
heating mercury in an iron container, sayind the craft would disappear
into the sky like a glowing pearl and with a great thundering noise.

I know it will explode bigtime when sealed in a container like a hearing
aid battery....when I was about 12, I stupidly placed on on the fire and
watched it blow up in my face...I couldn't see for about 30 minutes and
thought I had blinded myself...curiosity almost blinded the cat in that
case...but I recovered and never did that again...however, this
explosive force was surprising and unexpected..

I used to know a private detective who had pinpointed a German sub that
was full of mercury, only the water it was in had currents of 40
knots...so he said, and the sub was at a 45 degree angle...he always
wanted to recover the mercury as it would be a tidy sum of money. He
died last year with the location. He would have told me where if I'd
asked him sooner...ah well, did get the location for the Lost Dutchman
but can't say anything about that yet, one day we'll go back...but time
is creeping up on us all...ah for the money and free time to run wild
and do mischief...
