That is a concern a lot of people I know have, of being taped either
voice or video without their knowledge or consent. Not that we are
criminials with something to hide, but its no ones business what people
do privately. So fight fire with fire.

I think scrambling or destroying their equipment would be easier to do
than detecting. A audio tape recorder usese a biasing frequency to
'loosen' the ferrous oxide on the tape and make for better recordings
due to the increased tape sensitivity. I believe it runs around 20khz
but you'd have to look that up.

I'd scramble it before trying to detect it as there are so many other
devices around, watches, radios, even fluorescent lamps that could give
you false readings...

I've not ordered any to of these devices or plans but would one day like
to. Seems like they would be perfect if they work as described..it is
after all hardware using regular electronics for novel purposes.

If anyone orders any of these plans, I'd sure like to buy a copy of them
from you to keep from having to pay the full price. Some of my friends
and I have done that to keep our personal costs down...chip in and buy a
targeted set of material, then make a master photocopy and have several
duplicates run off...that way, each person only pays a share for the
first purchase then whatever copying costs are. =

Seems like something a bunch of people here might like to do...let me
know if you do and we can get something together...I just hate spending
$25 for 10 photocopied pages of information that has been circulated and
sold for years by many, many companies or groups....could certainly do a
service by posting the full plans for downloading freely by anyone,
anytime.

Check out; http://hackershomepage.com for the main page under highway
hacker for scrambling devices...basically a linear amplifier that sends
the equivalent of an EMP pulse to smoke any surrounding electronics -
kind of a small version of the EMP bomb used in the movie Matrix...

410 VEHICLE ENGINE STOPPER This device will remotely stop a car's engine
when activated within a 50+ yard distance. Similar to devices used by
the L.A. police and military. Plans $25.00

518 CABLE TV BOX ZAPPER Use this device to turn off anyone=92s cable TV
box. Simply walk up to the person=92s external cable line and press the
button to zap all boxes attached to the cable line. This device may also
destroy VCRs and televisions attached to the line.
PLANS...$20.00...ASSEMBLED...$150.00

603 RADIO AND TV INTERRUPTER This device jams the reception on radios,
some police radios, some CB's, televisions, etc.
PLANS...$10.00...KIT...$45.00...ASSEMBLED...$85.00

626 ELECTRONIC DESTROYER This device remotely disables all types of
electronic equipment when brought into close proximity.
PLANS...$20.00...ASSEMBLED...$150.00

627 LONG RANGE ELECTRONICS DESTROYER Same as #626 except this device has
a remote range of 50+ yards. Item is strictly not available in assembled
or kit form.
PLANS...$25.00

647 DISK/TAPER DESTROYER Screw up floppy disks, magnetic stripe cards,
and audio tapes with this device.
ASSEMBLED...$10.00 (but this probably has to be right on the media)

668 ARCADE MACHINE JAMMER This device will remotely jam an arcade
game machine screen, making it difficult or impossible to view.
ASSEMBLED...$175.00

The Video Machine scrambler I've seen elsewhere, not the circuit itself
but the planset...I believe it scrambles the horizontal sweep of a TV or
puts out white noise to lose the picture....this would be a way to jam
any video cameras that are taping you when you go into a store or other
public places.

I don't care what the reasons given by stores...its an invasion of
personal privacy in a public place and we have the right to defend
ourselves if they want to play games...so I have no problem with
jamming, scrambling or smoking their equipment with mine. Live long and
prosper...<g>....
