The Einstein Factor
Author Win Wenger has invented a remarkable technique for increasing =
your creativity, and he details how to do it in his recent book The =
Einstein Factor. 'Image streaming is a fabulous way to improve your =
visualising.
Here's what you do...
Sit down and close your =
eyes.
Describe aloud the mental images that flow through =
your mind.
Use all five senses. So if you see and feel a snow-covered mountain, =
describe its taste, its texture, its smell and the sound of the wind =
howling around its peak.
Phrase all your descriptions in the present tense.
Research carried out by Dr Charles Reinert on 79 first year physics =
students showed a gain of in IQ of 0.9 points per hour of practice (the =
equivalent of one IQ point for every 80 minutes of practice).
Rember don't subvocalise - you must do it out loud!
Whats not mentioned is that of the durations of each session; are these =
80 minute blocks are are they more dynamic?
One thing I can say is that it tends to centre one in the NOW, so that =
conciousness / awarness does not 'phase' in and out of the past/future, =
(memories/projections) of a past that is gone and a future that will =
never come.
