Most of the metals are polycrystals, and single crystal metals are not
difficult to make and there are a lot of them in the market and they also
have the high conducting property as the ordinary metals.
When they formulated the theory of metals, they, with no exceptions, used
single crystal structure for their model. They came up with the prediction
of the initial (low temperature) super conductor near 4 degree K ( minus
269 degree Celsius) using this models.
