There does appear to be a way to mechanically produce a pressure from
water that can be scaled to almost any size.
I could not find the exact quote or file about the guy who wrote in
back in the 1880's saying he and others he knew routinely used a
mechanical method to extract 15psi from water. The man said it could
be scaled up to any degree and that Keely was just working from that
basic principle.
An additional comment is that of the aero club fellows who claimed to
have extracted a gas from coal that was finer than hydrogen and which
had extraordinary lifting ability when heated. This is found in the
aeroship files.
The point and correlation here being that there are elements even
finer than hydrogen and probably thousands of other elements nested
between the ones currently recognized, and all with interesting,
unknown properties.
