Anyone ever hear of the following technology? If so do you know where
a person could get building plans for one? Or info on how to build one?
My thanks to Jerry again for providing some additional info on the
device......

RE: Russian Sleep Machine - Purported to induce sleep for an hour
and allows a person to attain the equivalent
of 8 hours deep rest. Imagine only having
to sleep 1 or 2 hours a day, like Patrick
Flanagan was reported to have done!

Follow-Up:

Yes, this works. It is also called "electronarcosis". Please read Robert
O Becker,MD's book "The Body Electric" (ISBN# 0-688-06971-1") on page
86. Russians call it "elektroson". I quote from above book: "...
electrodes on the eyelids and behind the ears to deliver weak direct
currents pulsing at calmative brain-wave frequencies..." "... still much
dispute about how both techniques work [...] no denying the currents had
a profound effect..." I would advise against making your own machine
unless you are a very good electrical engineer with a good bio-medical
background. Good luck in finding a doctor who won't laugh his
narrow-minded, prejudiced, priest-like ass off when you mention this.
