NOTE: I don't know exactly how aether tapping devices work...but here's my
4 cents worth (well it would have been @ 3 cents before the nz dollar took
a dive against the us, but I digress)
If it is an aether tap device that runs the "ship" then possibly the only
time that the special aether tapping engine has to run is when the load
increases. ie if you want to accelerate to a faster speed, then turn on
the engine and turn up the power to push the ship to a faster speed, turn
off the engine and the aether will hopefully keep flowing through the
propulsion system at the new rate....
....maybe...
....then again if you turn up the load the aether may compensate by having
more flow through.
The skin of the ship, if it is an aerial, could be a more efficient type of
aerial than your standard "antenna wire".
