Hi Dave!

I talk to John on the phone and by email with no problems, maybe he just
won't respond to the bla, bla, bla mentality...

>From my experience with John, he has little patience with those who are
armchair commentary buffs, he'd prefer homework was done and some degree
of comprehension...same for many other researchers...

Nothing wastes their time like questions whose answers are available
with some hunting (though I can see how one or more FAQ's could be
useful for newcomers), theoretical ideas or suggestions that have not
resulted from any physical experiments, just reading about his
experiments....god knows, I am as guilty of this as anyone...

I hear this often from various writers and researchers and usually they
are with regard to those people who complain about the researcher not
taking time from their own work to respond to them or having an
attitude. Why should all questions, no matter how simple or how many
times answered, be re-answered over and over again? Again, that FAQ
thing could be quite useful...

Perhaps when we get the chat sessions going, we can spool the comments
from these guys into a FAQ that anyone could study FIRST....yeah, that
would be quite useful...and clear the air....
