If they are, then they long ago ran out of refrigerant. I always
thought the Kings chamber and other large stone structures would be
cool, but they are very hot and they have to vent them with outside air.

The coolest place we found (besides the Hotel Mercure in Luxor), inside
any tomb or structure was one that was about 120 feet underground,
reached by a very rickety and very old circular iron staircase. It was
very cool, I think because the air flow tapped the cool walls.
