A friend of mine has been doing this, (igregor@hotmail.com) he put the
antenna input something like 3/4 of the way up the tree. He did say he
got noise-free reception. I don't know if he transmitted into it also,
he is a ham, but I don't know. I visited his place a month or so ago and
the tree was dead... I'll check it out and report back.

Now he is building a magnetic loop antenna. On the ground. He lives in
an RF hole... It is supposed to be able to eliminate certain types of
interference. And transmit right through the earth. A fellow came to
one of our free energy meetings here in Los Angeles and had a loop type
antenna hooked into his a.m. radio to listen to Billy Goodman and it
worked fantastically! You could hear Billy while within two feet of a
flourescent light fixture! But now it's Art Bell and he's all over the
dial.. times have changed.
