Hi Folks!

Bob Halsey has a slight problem with his email address so asked me to
forward the following comments/questions to the list til he corrects it;

Okay, here's a thought and question. I would like Dan (ala. Shape Power
book) to contribute a couple of words on this one as well.

The general idea I am understanding is that the Aether is an "all
permeating" material that is "flowing" into all objects and it is this
flow that functionally creates gravity. Fine, but it generates a few
questions in my mind.

1. Is this "flow" a Fourth dimensional flow, or a
Three dimensional flow? This is based on the concept
that if I hold a solid cube in my hand, and all this
Aether is flowing into it (to cause its "mass=weight"),
then where is the flow going? Ie. The 4-D question.

2. Picture this. You are in a room with "light walls",
ceiling and floor (okay, you can put on your shades).
In this room, you have a glass table, with all sorts
of glass objects on it.

The challenge: Create a completely shaded area...

The second question begs a 3-D model of Aether. This is
where I would like Dan's input. A shaded area in this
theoretical room can likely be created through REFRACTION
using some of the various glass objects at hand.

Remember the properties of Refraction. The light slows down
and consequently bends, thereby leaving a possible shaded area
if you're really clever.

I have not yet read Dan's book (the cheque is almost in the
mail Dan...!), but the idea I'm getting from it is that it
sounds like certain shapes can "refract" the aether. Thereby,
if you are really clever, create a gravity free zone...

Comments?

Bob
