Hi Don!

It's still around from what I have seen of it...unfortunately, I think
more was read into it than was actually there....the problem as I've seen
it is really quite simple....

Yes, they CAN get extraordinary, long lasting amounts of heat from the
cold fusion process.

However, since the heat generated results from an interaction between
very pure materials, as time goes on, the purity is compromised by
contamination due to low energy transmutation.

This self-pollution results in an inevitable decrease in the heat output
and the only resolution for this problem that I've heard of is to rebuild
the cell or replace the contaminated elements.

Therefore, IMHO - cold fusion in its current form is nothing more than an
advanced chemical battery, where the energy created results solely from
the low level transmutation phenomena.

The most promising thing lately is the fuel cell which produces
electricity from hydrogen or gasoline. We'll see how (and IF) those seep
into the consumer market.

I'm still of the opinion we are on the right track, tapping natural
forces, such as gravity or aether/zpe. We'll be that much closer to the
final solution for energy when we get that one breakthrough circuit.
