What you are creating is a TEM cell or transmission line. Don't
worry about the current handling ability cause it is a field - not DC.
OK, so tune a inductor and capacitor in series and at the resonate
frequency - 0 ohms or just DC resistance (R + 0j). So you can maximize
the current and minimize the voltage - same thing but instead of
parallel it's in series.
Now, how do you rate illumination of carbo-arc lamps in watts back in
the early 1900's? Did they rate them back then?

PS I guess back then there wasn't any power lines to run parallel to,
