That's interesting, I didn't know bisumth had such strength....Bourgoin
says the bismuth filaments grew accidentally in circuits and between
capacitor plates, causing them to short out.
That's how the superconducting property was found. I need to post
Bourgoins' presentation from that conference as his observations are most
interesting.....Ken McNeill sent me the proceedings and said use it for
everyone.....
Well now....both superconducting when in filament form and strong enough
to be battle field armor....hmmmm.....what could we do with this? You
know the Viper car protection system?? That puts an AC current into the
car, warning people to stay away or face the consequences? This
wouldn't just shock them, you'd find body-size burnt matchsticks if
someone tried to break into your car (very high current through a bismuth
filament body)......they missed this on the last Bond movie, Tomorrow
Never Dies, with the remote controlled BMW(?) that could not be broken
into.
Bert Pool once described pig pole transformers and the incredible power
they could handle...he said if your arm got near it, you would pull away
a piece of charcoal where the arm had been....we had been discussing
making a really powerful Tesla coil and how best to supply it with raw
power....
