SF Aether Conference 1997

(I personally think this will be one of the most IMPORTANT conferences in 1997 because of the unique combination of aether researchers, who each have a different perspective on how aether works. Unfortunately, due to prior committments, I cannot attend, but if it is at all possible for you to attend, please do, it will be a history making conference!...>>> Jerry/KeelyNet)

From: Ray Tomes
As a result of discussions amoungst a number of sci.physics and sci.astro regulars and email contacts we have decided to organise a conference to share our various ideas, theories and collected interesting facts. The conference is being organised by Ross Tessien and myself (Ray Tomes). This is an invitation to a select group of people who we know have given serious thought to and maybe even written about the subject matters concerned. At this time we are looking for speakers and attendees. Once we have a preliminary list of speakers we will go public with the conference announcement and invite further papers. If you are able to attend (or might, in which case a probability please) and to speak then please send a brief outline of your topic to me as soon as possible. This is an opportunity to speak to and listen to others who have thought about the same or similar issues in depth. It is a chance to get past the preaching to closed minds and to the nitty gritty and serious evaluation of ideas. Please remember that in writing your papers. Several organisations are being approached to act as named sponsors and details will be announced in due course. Hoping to see you there. Ray Tomes & Ross Tessien
Conference on the Fundamental Structure and Mechanisms of the Universe
Venue : Gold Rush Country, two hours outside of San Francisco in the Sierra Mountain Foothills Date : 30 May to 1st June 1997 (3 days) Subject: Aether Conference To investigate the fundamental mechanisms of physics and cosmology in a way that clarifies rather than mystifies. It is recognised that GR and QM work mathematically and that ether theories have been dismissed for a variety of often wrong reasons. The conference will be a search for a common structure that will that will clearly explain the behaviour of electromagnetism and matter, forces, space, time, entropy, at a fundamental level, and remove the wave particle duality and should allow physics to move forward again. The wave structure of all things and resulting resonances and harmonics are important in understanding the interconnectivity of structure at all scales. The unification of physics is the ultimate objective of this conference. The immediate goal of this conference is to get a number of people together who have been working independently on their own theories of the structures underlying the behaviors of the universe so that in collaboration, more rapid headway can be made toward the ultimate goal of presenting a foundation for physical behaviors at a level more fundamental than the currently held group of assumptions put forward in GR and in QM. In so doing, the goal is to present structures that can be interpreted such that the behaviors we observe are explained in a cogent manner. Request for Papers: brief overview by 28 Feb 1997 (ASAP) full paper by 31 Mar 1997 Further details as regards costs and accomodation will be provided later but will be kept to a modest level.
The response to the initial announcement of the conference has been very good. Seven people have agreed to give papers (one in absentia). For those giving papers I need a title and one paragraph summary ASAP so that we can announce this to the world. Several others have expressed interest and we can expect more papers even before we make an announcement. If anyone does not wish to receive further information on this then please let me know an I will remove you from the list. If you know of other people who would be interested then please let me know of them.
