Howard loved trolley cars. He was a conductor for the Mckinney Avenue trolley system, known by many for his great sense of humor, dry wit and Mephistophelian goatee. I first met Howard and Joanne when I got involved with the MUFON Metroplex UFO group back in the late 1980s.
We were all on the board of directors and responsible for selecting speakers and making all the arrangements for our monthly presentations. Howard was particularly interested and gifted as a dowser. He often attended the yearly Dowsers Convention in Danville. It was near that city that he found an old museum which has a gutted Keely machine which Howard kindly photographed and gave me a copy of. I had it enlarged but unfortunately, you could see many parts missing.
When the late David Fasold (he found the Ark of Noah in Turkey and wrote the 'Ark of Noah' book)came to Dallas, a small group of us tested the molecular frequency discriminator which he introduced us to, relying on Howards dowsing skills to backup the machine.
Over the years, we lost touch until I started the Vanguard Sciences Roundtables for the purpose of exchanging information and keeping in touch with many of our friends. Howard and Joanne attended often, contributing information and insight on many subjects which enlightened all of us.
When I ended the Roundtables in 1998, after 8 years of meetings, we again lost touch so I was saddened to receive the notice from Joanne of Howards passing.
If you knew Howard and have interesting stories or remembrances of him, please come to the Memorial service at the Eastgate Funeral home using the map above...thanks!
